Our Office

All About Smiles, PC is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.  We know that your time is valuable so we work as efficiently as possible to ensure that your appointment always begins on time.  A member of our office staff will contact you 24-48 hours prior to your appointment to confirm the correct date and time.  In addition, postcards reminding you of your next routine checkup will be sent out 2-3 weeks prior to the appointment.



New Patients:

We are accepting new patients.  Please arrive 10 minutes before your new patient appointment and bring a copy of your insurance card with you.  Met-Life subscribers will not have a physical card.  Utilizing your date of birth and social security number, our office will verify your benefits via the Met-Life provider site.  Our new patient forms can be found on our website or we can provide you a copy in our office prior to your appointment. New patient appointments usually take about an hour.  We cannot guarantee you will have your teeth cleaned during your new patient appointment. During your new patient appointment, we will take x-rays of every tooth in your mouth and Dr. Motz will perform an exam to determine if any areas are showing signs of decay. Lastly, our hygienist will assess the amount of time she needs to thoroughly clean and polish your teeth.  We will make every effort to clean your teeth during your new patient appointment, however, if our hygienist indicates she needs extra time to thoroughly clean your teeth, we will schedule a return appointment to have your teeth cleaned.


Emergency After Office Hours:
Dental emergencies are never convenient or timely.  Dr. Matta is committed to his patients’ dental health no matter what time of the day or night it is. If you are a current patient, and have a dental emergency after regular office hours, please call the office at 515-262-1923. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message and Dr. Matta will return your call as soon as he is able.  Please note, due to State of Iowa Statutes, prescriptions for pain medications can no longer be called or faxed into the pharmacy. All pain medications require a signed script from the prescribing doctor or dentist.


Missed Appointments

At All About Smiles, PC, we value every appointment and hope that all our patients understand the importance of every visit!  We do understand that things come up that are unavoidable, so in the event of an emergency, please give us 24 hours advanced notice if you must miss your appointment.  Thank you!


Dental Insurance

We accept all major dental insurances and will file the claims electronically for you. We will do our very best to ensure each patient is able to utilize their yearly maximum insurance benefits. We are a Preferred Dental Provider for Aetna, Ameritas, Blue Dental, Cigna, Delta Dental Premier, Delta Dental PPO Plans, Met-Life, Principal, and United Concordia. Visiting an in-network provider allows you to maximize your yearly benefits and saves you money.  Many plans offer lower deductibles and co-insurances if the patient visits an in-network preferred provider.  All co-insurances and deductibles are due at the time of the visit.


Payment Options

We accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard and Discover for your convenience.  We are happy to assist you in applying for Care Credit (a healthcare credit card) and accept HSA and flex cards as a form of payment as well.  Financing options with our office such as post dated checks and monthly credit card withdrawals may also be considered.
